Sport Training

Section of the 9th stage of the 2004 Tour de France (Limoges)

On July 13 the Tour de France peloton rode from Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat to Guéret, three and a half hours of cycling on typical French roads.

This videorace follows a section of this stage from the start to the first intermediate sprint in Gentioux.

When the peloton passed in Gentioux, Landaluze and Simeoni had already attacked. Unfortunately for the two riders, they were caught in the last hectometres of this stage and Robby McEwen won a very close sprint.

So if McEwen can win this stage, you know you don’t have to be a climber to train on these roads.
