This time trial will deliver the final and irrevocable verdict. Its flattish itinerary first points  northwards. Once you have reached Garda, you leave the lake of the same name behind you and head for Costermano, the native village of Adolfo Consolini, a discus thrower who won Italy a gold medal at the London games of 1948 and who was several times world record holder. You proceed towards Rivoli and Pastrengo, both famous former battlefields. Once you are in Bussolengo, it won't take you long to reach the finishing line on Verona's famous Piazza Bra with the Arena and other historic buildings serving as a prestigious backdrop.

Individual time trial. This test against the clock can be divided into two parts: the first one is undulated, includes gradients of about 5% and takes place on main roads with wide bends. The second part extends over 15 kilometres; its profile is mainly flat with a few stretches that are slightly downhill.
