If you think that modern professional cyclists have a tough life, read this.

The Col de Peyresourde was for the first time part of the Tour de France in 1910. On the 21st of July the racers had to ride from Luchon to Bayonne, a distance of 325 kilometres with several high mountain passes on extremely bad roads.

The famous French rider Octave Lapize was in 1910 the first racer to get to the top of the Col de Peyresourde.

Ever since then, the Peyresourde was 58 times climbed by the Tour de France peloton.

But you don’t have to go to France to discover it, just get on your bike in your living room!
